Just wanted to see if people on T-mobile connecting fine to the network. Got my Axon 7 today and when i put my sim in i had no signal at all from 5 to pm Present. Hopefully it is just that. Try removing your SIM, cleaning the contacts, and reinserting it. If that doesn't work, you can try manually scanning for the network to see if it is available and possible to connect to. Go to Settings, More, Cellular Networks.
Tap on Network Operators and wait for it to finish it's search. If you see T-Mobile, then tap on it to connect to the T-Mobile network. You may want to contact T-Mobile and see if there are any issues in your area. If not, have them reset your connection to the network. See if the phone will let you call T-mobile I had to call them and have them work some magic on their end. Calling Customer Support or walk into your local T-Mobile retail store and request for them to "Reset SIM Card" this will allow the network to refresh the settings and the sims at the same time.
You won't lose any contacts any important information with this method. I pretty much did everything possible even the suggestions at the bottom. The only one i didnt do was the reset for the sim card but that doesnt matter since i inserted my brothers sim card and that didnt work.
I ended up sending the phone for repairs. Customer service was really helpful and they tried their best to help me. I sent it in today itll probably be back by next friday. Ill give an update when i get it back. This seems to have worked for me. I had no data connectivity but was able to text and make phone calls. I then switched to 2nd sim card spot and now have data connection again.
Fingers crossed it keeps working. Howdy, Stranger! It looks like you're new here.Fri, Dec 30, AM. All other devices in the household connect; this is the only device that won't. This site in other languages x.Most common problem that many new Straight Talk users are experiencing is that they cannot connect to the internet or are unable to send or receive MMS messages.
In order for phone and service to work properly, new users need to update their Straight Talk APN settings, especially if they have used their phone on other network operators before they have switched to Straight Talk. What is APN?
These are the settings that set up a connection to the gateway between the cellular network of your carrier and the public Internet, which allows users to transfer data. Name: straight talk APN: wap. First, the user should delete old APN settings and then restart phone.
Next, they need to enter new APN settings, save it and restart the phone again, and that should be it. Obviously, users need to find available Wi-Fi network first to connect to the internet and visit this portal. I have a ZTE max duo and I need help fixing the problem.
I have zte Lever straight talk. The night before I renewed my minutes data was real fast listened to videos even. As soon as renewed minutes data was slow. This is two months in a row that this happen. Guess need new carrier. They try to tell me its my phone. When its that fast the night before it gets turned off and slow when turned back onit is not my phone.
I think they are making money. I had data then all the sudden it was gone. It use to come back on when I would restart my phone.
ZTE Awe Troubleshooting
Now it stays off for a long time and whenever I catch it at the right time i can put in the apn and it will would for a little bit but then it goes back off. I just added a service plan two days ago woke up to no data and now my phone service has stopped completely. I have an LG Stylo, and about three weeks ago my networking stopped. Multiple calls to the help desk have not solved the issue. Any ideas? I have the galaxy j7 sky pro.
My data and everything was working fine until I got to work 5 days ago.I just bought my zte max xl phone yesterday from best buy. I can not hook to computer. Have you tried this, or is this what you mean by "wont let me download em from the phone".
I wish i would have known this before i bought the thing. Kain13 said: transfer music to it. Kain13 I don't have that phone, but please give me a little bit. I have a Blade Zmax. And alot of computers.
Windows 10, windows 8. Let me experiment. Have you attached the phone to windows 7 then when installing the phone use mass storage?. Or if all else fails. Transfer music from computer to SD card and then put SD card in phone. Kain13 said: yes i have a lap top that runs 7 and it does same thing will try sd card trick and see if that works.
SD card trick should work. Let me know If not then I can get you driver's and send to you. We need our music!! I am running Windows 7 Ultimate and I can confirm that the driver installation works perfectly and install immediately.
Photo attached Kain13 I am using Windows 10 laptop. I plugged the phone in, hit install drivers on the phone, laptop confirms this in bottom right corner. I then select MTP on phone. I am able to access my files without issue. Kain13 said: nothing has worked so far, not even sd card trick.
I am so sorry to hear that. What is the SD card trick Kain13? I have a several ZTE phones but not this exact one. As long as I have MTP selected and plug it into the computer they've all worked from Windows 8 and up to Also, have you made sure to have the phone unlocked before connecting it?Hey guys. If anyone knows how to configure this device, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Called tech support twice today, and although they were friendly and tried to help me, it didn't resolve anything. Not sure how to change dns settings or if this will help with the zte as it seems to have worked with the netcomm. Problem not on my part for sure, since no settings have been change on my desktop, laptop, ipod, iphone and xbox and none can access the internet anymore The documentation available on-line was quite minimal, so it was difficult to learn much about the device.
With the description you give of your setup, I guess I would begin by temporarily disconnecting all devices except the desktop or laptop. I would connect that with an ethernet cable, and then go from there. Can the ZTE be made to work with just that one device connected to it? This will definitely lead to the temporary inconvenience of not being able to connect all of your other devices.Assign Static IP to a PC through DHCP: ZTE F660
Hopefully you won't face a household revolt over the temporary inconvenience. There may be other, better ways to approach this problem, but the above is all I can think of at the moment. Thanks for the reply skinorth. Online info for the zte is definetely quite limited. My desktop and xbox are always plugged in when i use them so the problem is not wireless.
Thanks for the reply. Also restored settings to default and again, worked for only a few minutes. I can't just manually change DNS without having to go through this. I have noticed that my W35 will in some locations lose internet connectivity quite predictably at certain times of the day. These times are usually during rush hour, when one would expect cell phone traffic to peak, given that two of the three locations I have used it in are adjacent to busy major highways, e.
Curiously enough, the phone support on the W35 which I believe the ZTE does not have continues to work regardless. Something in the technology deems data connections to be of lower priority than voice connections and cannibalizes the resources required for the data connection to feed the demands of voice connections. This seems to be a localized issue depending on both traffic requirements and the capacities of the local cell infrastructure. It certainly must be annoying to be working with minimal documentation on the device.
I get the feeling that Rogers support really does not have access to much more than we as customers can find on the web not much! Yes i agree it is frustrating to work with minimal info on the device. I just thought it was weird that speed suddenly dropped and ultimately was not responsive as i have remained in the exact same location.
As mentionned b4, speed and connectivity has always been great prior to this happening. I may have lost connections twice but for a short period of time less than 10 minutes and all lights on device were off. But anyway, You may be right re: data connections are deemed lower priority, and this is what may have affected me over the holidays period.
Connection is back to normal now and coincidence or not, holidays are over. I guess time will tell In this case, we should troubleshoot. Please PM us CommunityHelps so we can further assist. Turns out Rogers shut me of because I have reached a set limit.
